Overview We are a growing, reputable, small to mid-sized excavation and site-prep contractor serving Central Texas. We specialize in commercial site prep, residential developments, utility trenching and/or grading. Our team relies on precision, speed, and strong local relationships. We are looking for a key player to join our team who can bridge the gap between our pre-construction bids and on-site execution. Duties Develop detailed construction estimates for excavation and earthwork projects using industry-leading estimating software such as Agtek Prepare comprehensive project budgets, including cost management, resource allocation, and procurement strategies. Manage and lead construction teams on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assess project scope and requirements. Oversee construction schedule coordination, tracking progress against plans and adjusting schedules proactively to mitigate delays. Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project execution from start to finish. Ensure all projects comply with local construction regulations and environmental standards while managing contracts and change orders effectively. Requirements Proven experience in heavy civil construction management with a focus on excavation and earthwork projects. Strong proficiency in Agtek construction management software. Demonstrated expertise in construction estimating, project scheduling, cost control, and budget management. Ability to read complex construction plans and blueprints accurately; experience with blueprint reading is essential. Hands-on construction site experience with a thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership skills in managing teams within a fast-paced construction environment; proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of construction regulations applicable to heavy civil infrastructure projects; familiarity with contracts and legal aspects of construction is preferred. Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities; ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. $62,400.00 - $72,800.00 per year
