Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Painting Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our commercial painting projects. As a key player in our estimating department, you will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates, reviewing construction drawings, and managing project budgets from inception to completion. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and seamless communication with clients and project teams. Duties Review and interpret detailed construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs for painting projects Utilize estimating software such as Stack Construction, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and other construction management tools to prepare comprehensive bids and proposals Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through effective negotiation to secure favorable terms and pricing Develop detailed project budgets by estimating costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services while maintaining strict cost control measures Manage the entire estimating process for commercial construction projects, including reviewing contracts, assessing project scope changes, and updating estimates accordingly Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions, review construction site safety requirements, and gather on-site data for accurate estimation Prepare detailed spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Office tools to support estimation accuracy and facilitate clear communication with stakeholders Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating software such as Stack Construction, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and other industry-standard tools Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, technical specifications, and contracts Proficiency in managing projects as a construction estimator with a focus on cost management and material cost estimating Excellent negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for optimal pricing outcomes Deep understanding of construction industry practices including construction management software integration and site experience Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and estimating material requirements from blueprints for commercial projects Knowledge of contract review processes, cost control strategies, and estimating construction project budgets Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration across multiple stakeholders Join us in shaping the future of commercial painting projects!
