TWM Water Restoration specializes in providing top-tier mitigation services to residential and commercial properties. Our team is dedicated to excellence in craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and navigating the complexities of insurance claims. We're seeking a skilled and experienced Insurance Estimator to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
As an Insurance Estimator, you will play a vital role in our operations by preparing accurate and detailed estimates using Xactimate. You'll collaborate closely with insurance adjusters, project managers, and clients to ensure fair claims settlements and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive, accurate estimates for reconstruction and mitigation projects using Xactimate. Review insurance scopes and claims to ensure alignment with project needs and requirements. Engage with insurance adjusters to negotiate fair settlements, addressing scope changes and discrepancies. Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding estimate details and claim progress. Manage revisions to estimates based on new information, field changes, or adjuster feedback. Provide documentation, including photos, measurements, and detailed reports to support claims. Stay updated on industry standards, Xactimate changes, and insurance requirements. Maintain accurate records of estimates, communications, and claim outcomes. Offer insights and recommendations for resolving disputes over scope, pricing, and coverage. Collaborate with project management teams to develop budgets and track costs throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3-5+ years of hands-on experience in estimating with Xactimate and Matterport, specifically in reconstruction and mitigation work.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of property restoration, mitigation processes, and insurance claim practices.
Skills:
Proficiency in Xactimate software. Strong negotiation and communication skills for working with adjusters and clients. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Traits:
Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve creatively, and maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations. Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving cost-effective solutions. Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions based on cost control measures. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with various stakeholders on construction sites. A background in project management is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
IICRC Certification(s) in water damage, fire restoration, or similar fields. Familiarity with industry best practices. Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity within the estimating field. Xactimate certification (or similar experience)
