Full Job Description Masonry Estimator Salary:
$42,000 - $50,000 per year

Position:
Masonry Estimator Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates and bids for masonry, brick, CMU, and stone projects. Review construction plans, specifications, and project documents. Perform material and labor takeoffs. Obtain and compare material and subcontractor pricing. Develop detailed project proposals and scopes of work. Coordinate with suppliers, General Contractors, and project managers. Track bids, deadlines, and follow-ups. Identify potential project risks, exclusions, and cost changes. Maintain organized estimating records and pricing information. Requirements 2+ years of masonry or construction estimating experience preferred. Strong knowledge of brick, CMU, manufactured stone, and cast stone. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong knowledge of masonry materials, labor, and production rates. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and estimating software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
Ideal Candidate:
Detail-oriented, organized, experienced in masonry construction, and able to produce accurate and competitive estimates while meeting tight bid deadlines.
Duties will include:
Taking off large multi-family apartment complexes, and housing communities using Planswift . Putting together price sheets using Microsoft Excel. Communicating via phone and email with customers and vendors. Writing up proposal using our Microsoft Excel template. Reading and evaluating blueprints and other construction documents. Thoroughly examining contracts to make sure everything is correct before finalization. Communicating with our construction crew to discuss discrepancies throughout the job.
Skills Required:
Proficient in Excel. (Required) Proficient in Word. (Required) Proficient in Outlook. (Required) Planswift takeoff software or any equivalent takeoff software. (Required) Professional communication skills. (Required)
Skills Not Required But Preferred:
Associates Degree not required but is a plus. Knowledge of Masonry and Stucco materials and assembly. Familiar with AIA documentation. Must be willing to communicate with general contractors and superintendents in a professional manner.
