The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in evaluating project scopes, interpreting technical drawings, and developing accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects. Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes using our estimating software. Utilize RFMS and other construction drawing review tools to extract quantities and identify potential issues early in the estimating process. Manage project budgets by tracking costs, controlling expenses, and updating estimates throughout the bidding process. Travel onsite to perform measurements and document site conditions. Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure accurate scope definition and comprehensive bid submissions. Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, correspondence, and revisions for future reference. Experience Experience in customer service and able to have a in depth conversation. Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements from blueprints. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with construction management software tools and Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting purposes. In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards, cost control practices, and contract review processes. Construction site experience is a plus, providing practical insight into on-the-ground project realities.
