Job Description
Senior Estimator (Commercial Construction)
Key ResponsibilitiesLead estimating for ground-up, renovation, and tenant improvement projects.
Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, budgets, and bid packages.
Manage preconstruction schedules, bid scopes, and procurement plans.
Review plans/specs, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor/vendor bids.
Collaborate with project teams to align budgets and project goals.
Mentor junior estimators and support estimating best practices.
Maintain cost databases and historical pricing.
Prepare bid proposals and executive cost presentations.
Improve estimating processes, accuracy, and QA/QC standards.
Qualifications5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Strong background in takeoffs, cost estimating, budgeting, bidding, and preconstruction.
Proficient with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, Excel, and similar estimating software.
Ability to lead estimating teams and collaborate with project stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
