Lane specializes in mobility, tunneling, and water resources to address sustainable development and climate change adaptation challenges. Description Manages the bid team throughout the entire process. Visits project sites to understand site conditions/restrictions. Creates a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing scheduling software. Coordinates with Supply Chain, to price the resources needed for project. Assesses scopes of work to compile and establish pricing to cover project-related work activities using conventional methods and software. Actively communicates with DOTs, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projectsÂ? minority goals are being met. Advises and assists in preparing bid form, conceptual estimates and negotiated proposals. Reviews all final estimates to ensure accuracy and completion. Prepares and tracks budgets. Tracks historical costs and ensures they are used in estimating new projects. Researches historical and regional costs for estimating a bid. May independently develop estimates for large or complex projects. Mentors, coaches and provides feedback to others. Assigns bid team for new pursuits and distribute assignments to members. Performs other duties as assigned.
