Sheet Metal Fabrication Estimator/Engineer International Flooring & Protective Coatings, Inc. (IFPC) is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabrication Estimator/Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA.
Salary:
$75,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Position Summary Responsible for developing accurate sheet metal fabrication and ventilation estimates from RFQs, drawings, specifications, sketches, and site/ship checks. This position will estimate labor, materials, and subcontracted work; perform layouts and pattern development; and support awarded work through AutoCAD drawings and production fabrication. Required Experience 10+ years of sheet metal fabrication and ventilation experience 5+ years of estimating experience AutoCAD experience CNC calculations and fabrication experience CNC press brake setup and operation Plasma table programming/cutting Ventilation layout and pattern development Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, materials, labor estimating, and installation Preferred Navy, Coast Guard, MSC, commercial shipyard, or marine repair experience Familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Items, General Technical Requirements, and work specifications Ship checks, field measurements, and marine fabrication experience Ability to take a project from RFQ/drawings → estimate → AutoCAD/fabrication drawings → production Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to read and understand technical English Must be able to obtain and maintain required DBIDS and military installation/shipyard access credentials Must pass required employment screening IFPC participates in E-Verify.
