Duties Review detailed project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare accurate bids and proposals. Conduct thorough site visits to gather on-the-ground information that influences cost calculations. Collaborate with project management teams to align estimates with project scope, schedule, and budget goals. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring expenses and managing contracts effectively. Prepare detailed bid packages, including pricing breakdowns, scope of work, and risk assessments to support winning proposals. Contribute to revenue growth by preparing competitive estimates that convert into sold projects. Work within a compensation structure tied to successful sales, including a percentage of sold work. Skills Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes and terminology. Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors. Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software for accurate bid development. Knowledge of construction site operations and construction management principles. Ability to analyze costs thoroughly and implement effective cost control strategies. Excellent communication skills for clear collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Results-driven mindset with the ability to support both accurate estimating and successful project sales.
