Job Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial door and millwork construction projects
Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop material and labor estimates
Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and other team members to ensure accuracy
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and material availability
Maintain product knowledge and familiarity with computer systems
Assist with project planning and bidding processes
Develop and maintain customer relationships and respond to bid inquiries
Coordinate estimating with plant scheduling and review job cost data post-project for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Some prior experience in construction estimating or a related role preferred Knowledge of doors, frames, hardware, and installation procedures Ability to work with contractors and internal teams effectively Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and high accuracy Strong communication skills with management, customers, and vendors Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel Integrity, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure Willingness to learn and grow under the mentorship of an experienced estimator Associate Requirements HS Diploma or GED Background Check Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $35.00 - $40.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
