Full Job Description Estimator Job Title:
Estimator Job Summary:
The Estimator is responsible for providing estimates for work with homeowners, contractors, developers, or architects.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce accurate lumber & millwork material list per the plan. Reviews drawings, specifications, and all other construction documents. Estimating projects from start to finish. Review and analyze estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness of information. Utilize estimating software for accurate material list. Understand and adhere to deadlines. Ability to work developing competent estimates, meeting building codes. Contribute to a constructive working relationship with the family, and contractors to promote a positive and productive atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Experience is required. Math skills include basic arithmetic, and geometry. Ability to read and navigate plans and specifications. Attention to details and ability to evaluate plans for possible areas of concern. Understanding of construction materials and applications. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively.
