Multiple Positions Available About Authorized Construction Services Authorized Construction Services (ACS) is a growing commercial facilities maintenance and construction services company serving retail and commercial clients throughout the Southeastern United States. Due to continued growth and expansion in Northeast and North Central Florida, ACS is hiring multiple experienced Commercial Flooring Installers to support projects throughout the Jacksonville and Gainesville markets. Position Summary ACS is seeking experienced flooring installers with strong hands-on experience installing and repairing commercial carpet and tile flooring. This is an overnight position. All regular work will be performed between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be able and willing to consistently work this overnight schedule. The overnight schedule allows our crews to perform flooring installation and repairs in active commercial facilities while minimizing disruption to customer operations. The ideal candidate can independently evaluate existing flooring conditions, determine appropriate repair or installation methods, accurately measure and lay out work, prepare substrates, and deliver a professional finished product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace, and maintain commercial flooring systems.
• Install carpet tile, broadloom carpet, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, and other commercial flooring products.
• Remove and dispose of existing carpet, tile, adhesives, underlayment, and damaged flooring materials.
• Accurately measure work areas and calculate material quantities.
• Perform flooring layouts to achieve proper alignment, appearance, and efficient material usage.
• Prepare concrete and other substrates for new flooring installations.
• Perform minor floor leveling, patching, grinding, and surface preparation as required.
• Cut and fit flooring around walls, columns, doorways, fixtures, equipment, and other obstructions.
• Install transitions, thresholds, base, trim, and related flooring accessories.
• Repair damaged or loose tile, grout, carpet, and transitions.
• Perform tile layout, cutting, setting, grouting, and finishing.
• Perform carpet stretching, seaming, cutting, and installation as required.
• Protect customer merchandise, equipment, fixtures, and surrounding finishes while performing work.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and leave customer facilities ready for normal operations each morning.
• Complete work orders and provide before-and-after photographs and documentation using company mobile systems.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles and follow ACS safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements. Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of professional flooring installation experience preferred; highly skilled installers with equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered.
• Strong experience with commercial carpet and tile installation and repair.
• Ability and willingness to work a regular overnight schedule from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to perform flooring installations and repairs independently.
• Strong measuring, layout, cutting, and finishing skills.
• Knowledge of adhesives, mortars, grout, floor preparation materials, and installation methods.
• Experience using flooring installation tools, saws, grinders, carpet tools, tile cutters, and other power and hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the Jacksonville/Gainesville service territory.
• Ability to lift and move flooring materials and equipment weighing approximately 50-75 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, climb, and perform physically demanding flooring work throughout the shift.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and capable of completing assigned work with limited supervision. Preferred Qualifications
• 5-10+ years of commercial flooring experience.
• Experience working in retail, grocery, restaurant, healthcare, or other occupied commercial facilities.
• Experience with both carpet and hard tile installation.
• Experience with commercial flooring repairs and small service calls in addition to larger installations.
• Experience with VCT/LVT flooring, cove base, commercial transitions, concrete floor preparation, and leveling.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience using mobile work-order management applications. Work Schedule & Environment This is a full-time overnight field position supporting commercial customer locations throughout Jacksonville, Gainesville, and surrounding areas.
• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Overnight work only Installers will generally perform work while customer facilities are closed or operating at reduced capacity.

Crews are expected to complete assigned work, clean the work area, remove debris, and leave the facility safe and ready for customer operations each morning. Reliable attendance and the ability to consistently maintain an overnight work schedule are essential requirements of this position. Compensation & Benefits
