Flooring Project Supervisor Position Summary The Flooring Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing flooring projects from scheduling and material coordination through installation, quality control, and final completion. This position will work closely with builders, homeowners, installers, suppliers, and the Legacy management team to ensure projects are completed safely, professionally, on schedule, and according to specifications. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise daily flooring installation activities across multiple residential construction projects. Schedule installers and coordinate project start dates, material deliveries, and jobsite access. Review plans, specifications, work orders, and flooring scopes before installation. Verify that correct materials are delivered to each jobsite and inspect materials for damage or shortages. Walk jobsites before installation to identify preparation issues, moisture concerns, substrate conditions, or other potential problems. Coordinate flooring preparation, including subfloor repairs, leveling, moisture testing, and other required prep work. Supervise installation of LVP, hardwood, tile, carpet, and related flooring products. Ensure installers follow manufacturer installation requirements and Legacy quality standards. Perform jobsite inspections throughout the installation process and conduct final quality-control inspections. Identify and communicate installation issues, material issues, or changes that could affect schedule or cost. Communicate with builders, superintendents, warranty managers, homeowners, suppliers, and installers professionally. Document jobsite conditions, completed work, deficiencies, and required repairs with photographs and written notes. Coordinate punch-list and warranty work through completion. Verify completed work before requesting final approval or invoicing. Monitor labor and material costs and communicate potential change orders or additional work to management. Help maintain strong relationships with builders and trade partners. Ensure jobsites are left clean and free of flooring-related debris at the completion of work. Enforce company safety requirements and proper jobsite procedures. Assist management with installer performance, scheduling, and production issues. Qualifications 3+ years of flooring, residential construction, or project supervision experience preferred. Strong knowledge of LVP, hardwood, tile, carpet, and flooring installation practices. Ability to read construction plans, flooring plans, and work orders. Knowledge of subfloor preparation, moisture testing, adhesives, underlayments, and installation requirements. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and changing schedules. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field. Reliable transportation and ability to travel between jobsites. Comfortable using a smartphone for photographs, email, scheduling, and job documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to walk and stand on active construction sites for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, and inspect flooring areas. Ability to safely navigate residential construction sites. Ability to lift and move items as needed for inspections and jobsite coordination. Performance Expectations The Flooring Project Supervisor is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability while ensuring: Projects stay on schedule. Installers have the correct materials and information. Installation quality meets Legacy standards. Builder and homeowner concerns are addressed promptly. Jobsite issues are identified before they become costly problems. Punch-list and warranty items are completed efficiently. Communication between Legacy, installers, builders, and suppliers remains clear and timely. Projects are completed profitably and to the customer's satisfaction.

Pay:

$70,925.95 - $85,416.19 per year
