Specialty Flooring Installer/Construction Laborer About the Position Level-Up Specialty Floors is looking for a dependable, hard-working team member who wants to learn a skilled trade in specialty flooring. This is a hands-on construction position. Our team works on commercial and specialty flooring projects, including epoxy flooring, polished concrete, moisture mitigation, floor preparation, grinding, and self-leveling underlayments. Experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. The best fit is someone who shows up on time, is organized, pays attention to detail, works well with a team, and wants to learn and grow.
Job Duties:
The Specialty Flooring Installer/ Construction Laborer will help with: Specialty flooring installation and floor preparation Hand grinding and larger grinding equipment Edge grinding along walls and detailed areas Pouring self-leveling floors and working with concrete materials Lifting and carrying 50-pound bags of concrete and other materials Working with resinous epoxy materials and other flooring products Loading, unloading, organizing, and caring for tools, equipment, and materials Following job-site safety requirements and company procedures Wearing required safety gear, including boots, safety glasses, safety vest, hardhat ,and other protective equipment as needed Completing daily work tasks as directed by the crew leader Keeping job sites, vehicles, equipment, and materials clean and organized
Requirements:
Be at least 18 years old due to hazardous occupation due to chemicals being used Requires a valid drivers license for required travel Employer conducts motor vehicle record check Must report on time for assigned shift Work full-time, including over time when needed Work in physically demanding conditions Work in heat and on job sites that may not have air conditioning Lift at least 50 pounds frequently Travel to job sites, usually with in about a 1.5-hour radius of Ocala Occasionally stay overnight for out-of-town jobs, usually 2-3 days when needed Complete OSHA 10 -hour training if not already certified Work around epoxy and resinous materials
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience is not required, but the following are helpful: Construction experience Flooring, concrete, epoxy, polishing, or coating experience OSHA 10 certification Experience using grinders or other construction tools Organized and detail-oriented Willingness to learn a skilled trade
Compensation and Training:
Salary:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift:
Full time working day shifts The company also provides required safety equipment such as hardhats, safety vests, and safety glasses .Employees should be prepared to wear appropriate work boots, including steel-toe boots when required by the job site.
