In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of flooring and wall tiles across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality results that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications to determine tile layout and installation procedures. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for tile installation. Install a variety of flooring materials including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, epoxy, hardwood, carpet, and other building materials with precision. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and lay tiles accurately according to design specifications. Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing and sealing to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. Execute water damage restoration projects by removing damaged flooring materials and installing new tiles or flooring solutions. Ensure compliance with building installation safety standards throughout all phases of work. Assist in remodeling projects by installing fixtures, caulking, and other finishing touches to complete the space. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly after each project. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or building material installation. Hands-on experience with tile laying techniques for various surfaces including floors walls and backsplashes. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, construction plans, and blueprints for accurate project execution. Knowledge of epoxy floor installation, vinyl floor installation, hardwood floor installation, carpet installation, and floor refinishing methods. Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols; water damage restoration or restoration industry experience is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, saws as well as power tools required for precise cutting and fitting. Ability to handle manual tasks including lifting heavy materials safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
