Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tile Assistant and become an integral part of transforming spaces with expert flooring and surface installations! In this role, you will support skilled tradespeople in executing high-quality tile, hardwood, LVP installations across residential and commercial projects. Your enthusiasm for construction, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will help ensure every project meets safety standards and exceeds client expectations. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction and restoration industries while developing valuable skills in building material installation and site safety. Duties Assist with the preparation of construction sites by handling materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently Support tile setters and carpenters in laying tiles, hardwood, and LVP according to technical drawings and schematics Help interpret construction plans and schematics to ensure accurate installation aligning with project specifications Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying primers for optimal adhesion of flooring materials Operate hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, shaping, and installing various flooring materials Assist with caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and all tasks as needed Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of waste in accordance with safety protocols Experience Previous experience in construction or building material installation is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided Familiarity with construction estimating, schematics interpretation, or restoration industry experience is a plus Hands-on experience with floor refinishing, buffing, concrete finishing, remodeling or general handyman tasks is advantageous Knowledge of building installation safety compliance standards is desirable Ability to handle manual tasks such as manual handling of heavy materials and equipment safely throughout the workday Basic understanding of construction plans and technical drawings to support accurate project execution Experience working on construction sites or in house restoration projects will be beneficial This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in flooring installation while contributing to high-quality construction projects.
