Position Overview As a Hardwood Flooring & Finish Carpentry Technician, you'll be an important part of the reconstruction team, helping restore customers' homes and properties after damage. You'll work alongside experienced craftsmen on hardwood flooring installation, sanding, staining, and other finish carpentry projects. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in the finished product, and wants to develop their skills in flooring and finish carpentry. You don't need to know everything on day one — we're willing to teach the right person. What matters most is that you show up, work hard, pay attention to detail, and want to get better. What You'll Do Assist with hardwood flooring installation and other flooring projects. Assist with sanding, staining, and finishing hardwood floors. Prepare floors and work areas for installation and finishing. Assist experienced technicians with finish carpentry and reconstruction projects. Use hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and other job-site equipment safely and properly. Measure, cut, fit, and install materials under the direction of experienced team members. Protect customers' homes, furniture, and belongings while work is being performed. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout the project. Load, unload, move, and properly maintain tools, materials, and equipment. Follow project instructions and work efficiently to keep jobs moving forward. Work professionally in customers' homes and treat their property with care and respect. Help with other reconstruction and finish work as needed. Backgrounds We Love Hardwood flooring or flooring installation Finish carpentry General carpentry Construction or remodeling Home improvement Painting or other skilled trades Experience using hand and power tools No formal restoration experience is required. We can teach the restoration side of the business to someone who already has the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn. Qualifications Previous flooring, carpentry, construction, or remodeling experience is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Ability to follow instructions and learn new techniques. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work safely and professionally in customers' homes. Ability to lift, carry, and move flooring materials, tools, and equipment. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work throughout the day. Valid driver's license required.
Compensation & Schedule Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Full-time position — approximately 40 hours per week. Typical schedule is approximately 7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, depending on project schedules and job-site needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn hardwood flooring, finish carpentry, and residential reconstruction while working alongside an experienced team.
