Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy, and carpet across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets high standards of quality, safety, and durability. Duties Measure, cut, and prepare flooring materials according to project specifications and technical drawings Install various flooring types such as hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy coatings, and carpet with accuracy and attention to detail Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete flooring tasks while adhering to safety protocols Prepare subfloors by performing tasks like drywall repair, leveling surfaces, caulking, and water damage restoration as needed Perform floor refinishing tasks including buffing, sanding, sealing, and finishing to achieve a smooth surface Assist in remodeling projects by installing fixtures, cabinetry, trim carpentry elements, and performing general handyman duties Skills Extensive experience with flooring installation techniques including hardwood floor installation, tile laying, vinyl floor installation, epoxy coating application, and carpet installation Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning and material procurement Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers; power tools including saws, drills, sanders; and specialized equipment for floor refinishing Ability to handle manual tasks safely with proper lifting techniques during drywall work or heavy material handling Familiarity with building material installation standards and safety compliance regulations on construction sites Experience in restoration industry practices related to water damage restoration and floor care maintenance Knowledge of caulking techniques for finishing edges; drywall repair; fixture installation; concrete finishing; remodeling; painting; buffing; cabinet installation; handyman services; Schematics reading; blueprint interpretation; construction site safety protocols This role is ideal for individuals passionate about craftsmanship who thrive in fast-paced environments.
