Hardwood Flooring Installer & Refinisher (2-3 Years Experience) Classic Flooring Solutions is looking for a dependable, motivated Hardwood Flooring Installer & Refinisher with approximately 2-3 years of experience . If you have experience installing and/or refinishing hardwood floors and want to continue developing your craft, we'd like to meet you. You'll work alongside experienced craftsmen on high-end residential and light commercial projects while learning advanced installation techniques, custom layouts, and finishing methods. What You'll Do Hardwood Floor Installation Perform moisture testing and inspect subfloors. Prepare job sites for installation. Install solid, engineered, and prefinished hardwood flooring. Install underlayment and vapor barriers. Layout and install straight, diagonal, and basic pattern floors. Install transitions, base shoe, quarter round, stair nosing, and trim. Measure projects and assist with material calculations. Hardwood Floor Refinishing Prepare floors for sanding and finishing. Operate drum sanders, edgers, buffers, and other flooring equipment. Complete edge sanding and detail work. Apply stains, sealers, and finish systems. Perform board replacements and minor repairs. General Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Protect customer homes and finished flooring. Maintain tools and equipment. Complete daily job documentation. Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Work efficiently as part of a team. Qualifications 2-3 years of hardwood flooring installation and/or refinishing experience. Experience using flooring nailers, miter saws, table saws, sanders, and hand tools. Basic understanding of wood species, moisture testing, and NWFA installation practices. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements Lift up to 70 pounds. Kneel, bend, climb stairs, and work on your feet throughout the day. Work in residential and commercial environments. Requirements Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to occasionally work overtime or weekends when necessary.
