ArmaCrete is a growing commercial and industrial concrete flooring contractor serving Mississippi and the surrounding Southeast. We specialize in polished concrete, resinous & fluid-applied flooring systems, integral troweled epoxy cove base, concrete surface preparation, joint filling, repairs, overlays, and specialty concrete finishes. We are looking for an experienced installer who takes pride in high-quality work and can contribute immediately in surface preparation, concrete polishing and resinous flooring installation. This is not a residential garage-floor position. Our projects include commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, manufacturing, military and government facilities. - Operate planetary grinders, hand grinders, HEPA vacuums, shot-blasting equipment, joint pumps, auto scrubbers and burnishers.
- Perform concrete grinding, coating removal, profiling and other mechanical surface preparation.
- Install polished concrete systems using metal, hybrid and resin diamond tooling.
- Install epoxy, urethane, polyaspartic and trowel-down flooring systems.
- Install integral resinous cove base.
- Prepare and repair cracks, joints, spalls, and damaged concrete.
- Mix materials accurately and follow manufacturer coverage rates, recoat windows and application procedures.
- Maintain safe. clean, and organized work areas.
- Help train apprentices and less-experienced installers.
- Communicate field conditions, material needs and potential problems to project leadership. Preferred Experience Strong candidates will have at least three years of relevant commercial flooring, concrete polishing, epoxy coatings and concrete surface-preparation experience. Experience with several of the following is strongly preferred:
- Planetary grinders and metal-bond diamond tooling
- Concrete polishing through multiple diamond progressions
- Shot blasting and coating removal
- Epoxy and urethane coating systems
- Decorative flake and quartz broadcast systems
- Urethane-cement flooring
- Integral epoxy cove base
- Joint filling and concrete repair
- Reading product data sheets and mixing materials by ratio
- Supervising or directing a small installation crew We will consider candidates whose experience is stronger in either concrete polishing or resinous flooring, provided they have a solid surface-preparation background and are willing to learn the other side of the trade. Position Requirements
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation to our shop in Pearl, MS
- Willingness to travel throughout Mississippi and surrounding states (company provided transportation for distances over 50 miles)
- Availability for multi-day projects and occasional nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including extended standing, bending and kneeling and lifting up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening for government and restricted-access projects
- Dependability, attention to detail and a professional attitude
- Ability to work as part of a crew and follow established safety procedures Compensation and Benefits
- Starting pay of $25
- 31+ per hour based on demonstrated experience
- Higher compensation available for qualified Senior Installer or Crew Leader candidates
