In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, hardwood, and epoxy floors, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces with durable, high-quality flooring solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about building material installation and skilled in interpreting technical drawings and schematics to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subflooring to ensure optimal flooring adhesion and durability. Install various flooring types such as tile, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy coatings, and carpet using hand tools and power tools with precision. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and floor refinishing techniques to achieve seamless finishes. Ensure all installations comply with building safety standards and industry best practices for construction site safety. Handle manual tasks including lifting heavy materials, maneuvering large tiles or flooring rolls, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and meet project deadlines. Experience Proven experience in flooring installation, including tile laying, hardwood floor installation, epoxy floor application, vinyl floor installation, and carpet setup. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret construction plans and schematics accurately. Familiarity with building material handling, drywall installation, fixture installation, water damage restoration, and floor care techniques. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance. Previous experience in restoration industry work or remodeling projects is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, saws; power tools including drills and grinders; as well as specialized equipment for floor refinishing or concrete finishing. Ability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
