Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Skilled Labor/Tile Flooring Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of flooring surfaces, including tile, hardwood, vinyl, epoxy, and carpet. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship while maintaining safety standards on construction sites. Responsibilities Measure and interpret technical drawings and construction plans to accurately lay out flooring projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers or adhesives for optimal installation results. Install a variety of flooring materials such as tile, hardwood, vinyl, epoxy coatings, and carpet using hand tools and power tools. Perform floor refinishing tasks including buffing, sanding, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore floors to their best condition. Execute caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and other building material installation tasks with precision. Maintain strict adherence to building installation safety compliance standards throughout all phases of work. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and construction plans for seamless project execution. Skills Extensive experience in flooring installation including tile laying, hardwood, vinyl, epoxy floor installation, and carpet installation. Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, saws, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools for cutting and finishing. Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently. Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assess project scope and material requirements accurately. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans with attention to detail. Familiarity with building installation safety compliance regulations and best practices in the restoration industry. Skills in remodeling projects including construction painting, fixture installation, trim carpentry, buffing, and general handyman tasks. Understanding of construction site experience to coordinate effectively with other tradespeople on-site.
