Saint Francis University invites applications for a General Carpenter/Flooring Specialist position in the department of Physical Plant. The General Carpenter/Flooring Specialist is directly responsible to the General Trades Supervisor for performing a variety of carpentry tasks aside other members of the physical plant group. Assume lead role for projects involving new carpeting, Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT), Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT), or any other flooring material. High school graduate with vocational/technical training in general carpentry or related areas. Knowledge of carpentry, painting, roofing, masonry, flooring and associated tools. Knowledge of blueprint reading as it pertains to carpentry trade. Basic mathematical skills are necessary. Minimum of two years of commercial or residential construction experience in general carpentry field is required. Experience installing commercial flooring is highly preferred. Must have valid driver's license.
