A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Custodian / Maintenance (Full-Time)
Location:
Loretto, PA Payrate:
$12-$14 per hour - Depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday to Sunday (Weekends required) 2 days off during the week. What will you be doing? The Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and well-kept environment in district buildings and grounds through daily cleaning, basic maintenance, and groundskeeping duties. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of district buildings and grounds Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and buff floors as needed Operate custodial equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely Assist with seasonal and summer deep-cleaning projects Perform minor maintenance (light bulb replacement, basic plumbing, painting) Support boiler operation and basic maintenance (training provided as applicable) Complete groundskeeping tasks including snow/ice removal and lawn care Set up and break down rooms for school and community events Follow safety procedures and complete other duties as assigned What are the Job Requirements? High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred. Ability to operate and maintain a variety of custodial and maintenance equipment. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safe chemical handling, and basic building systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks

$12.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
