Experienced Tile Setter - Glass Installer Trainee (Paid Training)
Job Description
Tile Setter
- Glass Installer Trainee (Paid Training) Job Description
- You already have the hands. We'll teach you the glass.
- If you're a tile setter, tile installer, or stone/marble mechanic who's tired of hard-on-the-knees work, mud and thinset, or the feast-or-famine of sub work, this is your way into a cleaner, higher-paying trade — with no pay cut while you learn.
- How the paid training works
- You earn full wages from day one. This is a real job with training built in — not an apprenticeship stipend.
- Months 1-2: Work side by side with a Lead Glazier every day. Learn measuring, glass handling, prep, and our hardware systems.
- Months 3-4: Start running portions of installs yourself — mirrors and standard enclosures — with your lead checking your work.
- Months 5-6: Install our main products (shower enclosures, custom mirrors) with increasing independence.
Beyond:
A real path to Lead Glazier — your own jobs, your own crew.- What we're looking for
- Tile setting, stone/marble installation, or similar precision trade experience
- Comfortable measuring and working in 1/16" increments
- Careful habits in occupied, finished homes — drop cloths, clean lines, no shortcuts
- Able to lift and maneuver heavy materials safely (we work in teams with proper equipment)
- Valid driver's license
- No glass experience required. Precision and work ethic are the things we can't teach.
- Pay and benefits
- $30 to $40 per hour based on experience and progression — our goal is for our installers to be the highest paid in the region
- Health insurance
- 3% retirement contribution
- Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
- Steady, year-round residential work — no winter layoffs, no bid-cycle gaps
- W-2 employment with steady hours — not chasing sub work job to job
- Clean, climate-controlled finished homes — and a lot less time on your knees
