Saint-Gobain Keyword Location Search view all jobs Critical Infrastructure Specialist Remote, USA Posted 3 days ago Apply Now The Critical Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, performance, and availability of mission-critical infrastructure and technology systems that support business operations. This role provides advanced technical expertise in system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, disaster recovery, and infrastructure engineering. The Specialist proactively identifies and resolves issues, implements scalable solutions, and serves as a key contributor to operational excellence, business continuity, and compliance initiatives. This position requires strong technical knowledge, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across IT and business teams. The Critical Infrastructure Specialist also serves as a mentor to junior team members and plays a leadership role during critical incidents and major infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
System Monitoring, Support & Optimization
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize critical infrastructure to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability. Implement automated monitoring, alerting, security reviews, and operational improvements. Infrastructure Engineering & Administration
  • Design, maintain, and enhance infrastructure solutions to support business needs. Lead upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and technology modernization initiatives. Incident Response & Disaster Recovery
  • Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service restoration efforts. Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Security & Compliance
  • Implement security controls and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Partner with cybersecurity teams to address risks, vulnerabilities, and audits. Collaboration & Technical Leadership
  • Collaborate across IT and business teams to support operational objectives. Serve as a technical escalation point, mentor team members, and contribute to strategic infrastructure planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, systems administration, or critical technology environments. Experience with server administration, virtualization technologies, storage systems, networking, monitoring platforms, and security tools. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting high-availability and business-critical environments. Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident management practices. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively during critical incidents. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,000 to $159,000. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
