The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation, tile laying, and related construction skills. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including remodeling, restoration, and new construction, with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and safety standards. Candidates with experience in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and the use of hand and power tools will excel in this position. Duties Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation, ensuring proper alignment and levelness Cut tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, or wet saws to fit designated spaces Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to project specifications and schematics Apply adhesives, grout, caulking, and sealants to secure tiles and ensure durability Perform restoration work including water damage repair, surface preparation, and finishing touches Assist with related tasks such as fixture installation, cabinet mounting, trim carpentry, and painting as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements accurately Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects Experience Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, or related construction fields Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading is highly desirable Experience with water damage restoration industry practices is a plus Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels; power tools including saws and drills; buffing equipment for finishing surfaces Background in carpentry, cabinet installation, remodeling, or general maintenance person work enhances suitability for this role Prior work on construction sites with exposure to schematics, fixtures installation, concrete finishing, or construction painting is advantageous Strong understanding of floor care techniques and restoration industry standards preferred This position is ideal for candidates committed to craftsmanship in the construction industry who value safety, precision, and teamwork.
