Ceiling Installer Summary The Ceiling Installer is responsible for installing, repairing, and/or replacing ceilings. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team. The Ceiling Installer must be knowledgeable in a variety of ceiling types, including drywall, acoustic tile, plaster, and suspended ceilings. They must also possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as they will often travel to different sites. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, while meeting customer expectations. Ceiling Installer Duties Measure and cut ceiling materials to fit Install ceiling panels and tiles Install acoustic ceiling tiles Repair or replace damaged ceiling tiles Maintain tools and equipment Keep work areas clean and safe Ceiling Installer Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams Proficient in the use of tools such as power tools, ladders, and scaffolding Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Knowledge of ceiling systems and materials Ability to work in confined spaces Ceiling Installer Requirements Highly skilled in installation of ceiling systems Able to read and interpret blueprints Ability to use power tools and hand tools Familiar with safety regulations and procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Personal Traits Ability to read and understand instructions Ability to use tools and machines for cutting and installing Attention to detail Physical fitness
