Overview Join our dynamic team as a Helper for Floor Coating and be a vital part of transforming spaces through expert surface finishing! This energetic role is perfect for individuals eager to develop hands-on skills in construction painting, surface preparation, and renovation projects. As a helper, you will assist skilled painters and technicians in applying high-quality floor coatings, ensuring safety standards are met while contributing to the creation of durable, aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Responsibilities Assist with surface preparation tasks including cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Support the application of floor coatings using various methods such as hand tools, grinders, etc. Help with mixing paints, primers, and sealers according to project specifications while adhering to safety regulations. Prepare construction sites by protecting surrounding areas and organizing tools and materials for efficient workflow. Follow technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise application of coatings on floors and surfaces. Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste properly and storing tools securely after each shift. Observe all safety protocols including the use of respiratory protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to OSHA standards. Experience Previous experience in construction painting or renovation projects is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, spray equipment, and surface preparation techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and proper use of respiratory protection enhances your suitability for this role. Basic math skills for measuring materials and interpreting technical drawings are beneficial. Experience in related trades such as carpentry, plastering, masonry, or restoration work will support your success in this position. Demonstrated ability to follow schematics, blueprints, or technical instructions accurately is highly valued.
