Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions in geriatric patients. Develop personalized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each individual's needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and current clinical guidelines. Implement therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities, including traditional face-to-face methods and telehealth platforms. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams such as educators, physicians, occupational therapists, and families to coordinate care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language therapy. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Master's Degree Program. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations for geriatric populations. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing functions. Experience implementing speech therapy plans for individuals with speech impairments or disabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and engage families effectively.
