Our primary need is someone with hands-on residential glazing experience who can perform quality installations, work professionally in customers' homes, and take responsibility for completing work correctly and efficiently.
Typical residential work includes:
Frameless and framed shower enclosures Mirrors and custom glass Residential windows and doors Heavy glass applications Glass railings and related systems Insulated and single-pane glass replacement Service and repair work If you thrive in hands-on environments and take pride in precision work, this is the perfect role for you! Responsibilities Measure, fabricate, install, repair, and replace residential glass and glazing products. Install shower enclosures, mirrors, windows, doors, heavy glass, railings, and related glazing systems. Accurately perform field measurements and verify installation requirements. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work orders. Troubleshoot field conditions and identify appropriate installation solutions. Protect customers' homes and property while maintaining a clean, professional work area. Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, coworkers, and other trades. Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials. Complete work efficiently while maintaining B & L Glass quality standards. Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA and California safety requirements. Requirements 2+ years of residential glazing or closely related glass installation experience preferred. Experience with showers, mirrors, residential windows, heavy glass, or similar installations. Strong measuring and installation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a field team. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Commercial glazing experience is a plus. Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record. U.S. work eligibility required. Must be able to successfully complete required pre-employment physical and job-related testing. Reliable transportation to our Santa Rosa facility. Commercial glazing experience is a plus, but residential glazing experience is our priority for this position. For candidates who are still developing toward full journeyman-level proficiency, B & L Glass also offers an apprenticeship and training program that provides a structured path for continued skill development and advancement.
