Role Description The Fiberglass Cutter is a full-time, on-site role based in Cocoa, FL, responsible for cutting and preparing fiberglass components used in custom truck upfitting projects. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and marking materials according to work orders and specifications, cutting fiberglass panels and parts using hand tools and power tools, and smoothing, trimming, or finishing edges to meet quality and safety standards. The role involves reading basic drawings or templates, organizing and labeling cut pieces for assembly, and working closely with shop technicians and installers to ensure timely production. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe work area, following all safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, inspecting materials for defects, and reporting any issues or equipment concerns to supervisors. The Fiberglass Cutter contributes directly to accurate, high-quality builds that support reliable fleet performance for customers. Qualifications Ability to measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using tape measures, rulers, templates, and cutting tools, with strong attention to detail and quality. Experience using hand tools and power tools (e.g., saws, grinders, sanders) in a shop or manufacturing environment, with a focus on safe operation. Comfort working with fiberglass or similar composite materials, including proper handling, cutting, and finishing techniques, and use of PPE. Basic ability to read and follow work orders, diagrams, or simple technical drawings, and to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members. Reliable work habits, including consistent attendance, punctuality, and the ability to follow established processes and safety protocols. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials, and perform repetitive tasks in a shop setting. Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, automotive/truck upfitting, or a related trade is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; willingness to learn
