Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Glazier to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and glazing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that all glass-related work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our construction initiatives. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine specifications for glass installation and fabrication. Measure dimensions accurately using appropriate tools to ensure precise fitting of glass and related materials. Handle glass materials carefully, including cutting, shaping, and assembling glass components for windows, doors, fixtures, and remodeling projects. Install various glazing systems such as windows, doors, mirrors, and custom glass fixtures with a focus on quality and safety standards. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, trimming, caulking, sealing (caulking), and finishing work on glass installations. Perform heavy lifting safely when transporting large or heavy glass panels or metal framing components. Conduct quality control measurements to verify proper fitment and finish of all installed glass products; make adjustments as needed. Collaborate with carpenters, metal stud framers, fabricators, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of glass into construction projects. Complete remodeling tasks that involve trim carpentry, fixture installation, metal framing, or handyman repairs related to glazing work. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as a glazier with a strong background in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, levels, measuring tapes; familiarity with power tools including drills and saws. Knowledge of glass materials handling, fabrication techniques, and installation methods for windows, doors, mirrors, and fixtures. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality control purposes. Construction site experience with an understanding of safety standards related to heavy lifting and working at heights. Skills in caulking (sealing), trim carpentry, metal stud framing, assembly work, remodeling projects, and fixture installation. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working in confined spaces. Handyman experience or additional skills in general maintenance are a plus.
