Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Commercial Glazier to join our team in the Kansas City Metro area. The Lead Glazier will be responsible for leading commercial glazing projects from installation through completion while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of commercial glazing experience , strong knowledge of glazing systems and installation practices, and the ability to lead a crew and work independently in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Lead and oversee commercial glazing crews on job sites. Install, replace, and repair commercial glass and glazing systems. Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Install storefront, curtain wall, entrances, doors, windows, and other commercial glazing systems. Measure openings and verify dimensions for proper installation. Ensure materials are installed according to project specifications and manufacturer requirements. Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, subcontractors, and other trades. Maintain job-site safety and ensure crew members follow company and OSHA safety requirements. Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and proper operation. Troubleshoot installation issues and identify solutions in the field. Manage tools, materials, and equipment to ensure projects remain productive and organized. Train and mentor less-experienced glaziers. Maintain a clean and professional job site. Communicate project progress, material needs, and potential issues to management. Represent the company professionally with customers, contractors, and project partners. Skills 3+ years of commercial glazing experience required. Previous experience leading or supervising a glazing crew preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems and installation techniques. Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans. Proficient with common glazing hand and power tools. Ability to accurately measure, layout, and install glazing systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work at heights and safely handle glass and other construction materials. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials as required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. $28.49 - $37.00 per hour
