Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install glass and other materials for windows, doors, and other structures
  • Remove broken or damaged glass and replace it with new glass
  • Install weatherstripping and sealants to ensure proper insulation and prevent leaks
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the size, shape, and type of glass needed
  • Use hand tools and power tools at the job sites and in shop
  • Install YKK storefront material, including doors and frames
  • Repair or replace damaged window frames or sashes and be able to cut glass on site
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters and contractors, to complete projects on time
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a glazier or in a related field (e.g., frame carpentry, remodeling)
  • Knowledge of different types of glass and their uses
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to glazing work
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and installations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during installation or repair work
