Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Commercial Glazier to oversee and execute large-scale glass installation projects within commercial settings. As a leader on our team, you will coordinate the installation, fabrication, and repair of glass and related materials, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every stage. Your expertise will drive project success from initial planning through final inspection, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional results on time and within budget. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of glaziers, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations Interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute glass installation and fabrication tasks Coordinate the measurement, cutting, handling, and installation of various glass materials including windows, doors, fixtures, and custom glass features Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing equipment, caulking guns, and other construction tools to complete projects efficiently Manage construction estimating processes for materials and labor costs; prepare detailed job site reports and progress updates Ensure proper handling of glass materials during transportation, storage, and installation to prevent damage or safety hazards Conduct quality control inspections using dimensional measurements and schematics to verify precision in fabrication and installation Facilitate remodeling projects involving drywall framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, door hanging, cabinetry installation, and painting as needed Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols related to heavy lifting, glass handling, use of power tools, and site safety procedures Requirements Strong knowledge of glass materials handling, fabrication techniques, window installation, door hanging, fixture setup, and cabinet installation Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, levels; power tools including grinders and pneumatic equipment; caulking guns; measuring tapes; and other relevant construction tools Hands-on experience with construction site activities including heavy lifting, remodeling tasks, metal stud framing, drywall finishing (including painting), and trim carpentry Ability to read schematics accurately for fixture installation or custom projects; familiarity with construction plans is essential Excellent dimensional measurement skills for quality control during fabrication and installation processes Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively on busy construction sites while maintaining safety standards Valid experience in construction site management with a focus on commercial projects involving glass or similar materials Physical capability for heavy lifting; working at heights; standing for extended periods; bending; climbing ladders; and operating power equipment safely Join us as a Lead Commercial Glazier to shape innovative spaces with precision craftsmanship!
