Job Description

Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as a Direct Support Professionals/DSP in various settings such as day center, their home, and the community. You will support individuals with activities, habilitation, and daily living activities in Grand Island, NE.
What You'll Do:
Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a variety of settings such as at the day center, in the community, and their home environment.
Shift Need and Hours:
Full-time or part-time hours are available Day shift is 7a-3p Evening shift is 3p-11p Overnight shift is 11p-7p Every other weekend is required for all shifts Flexible scheduling for all shifts is also available as hours for in-home support vary based on individual's needs Skillset Needed for the
Job:
Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements:
Must be at least18 years old. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass all background checks. Experience not required - we will train you!
Pay:
Pay range: $16-$17 per hour We pay more for direct experience and holding an active Nebraska CNA license! We also offer CEU's for anyone with a current CNA license to keep your license active while you do meaningful and life transforming work as a DSP! Benefits for
