Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and related glass materials across various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety protocols, and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality building projects while working with a skilled team dedicated to craftsmanship and precision. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to determine window and glass installation requirements. Measure dimensions accurately on-site to ensure proper fit and alignment of windows, doors, and trim components. Handle glass materials carefully, including cutting, fabrication, and installation of glass units with precision. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to install windows, doors, fixtures, and trim carpentry components efficiently. Perform heavy lifting of glass panels and window units safely while adhering to safety standards. Apply caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing techniques to ensure energy efficiency and durability of installations. Conduct quality control checks during installation to verify measurements, fitment, and finish according to construction plans. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate schedules and ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Hands-on experience with window installation, glass handling, door hanging, fixture installation, and trim carpentry. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, cabinetry installation, remodeling projects, and construction painting. Strong knowledge of measurement techniques for quality control purposes. Prior work on construction sites involving heavy lifting, fabrication processes, manufacturing environments or handyman tasks is highly desirable. Knowledge of schematics related to fixtures or metal framing is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites while following all safety regulations related to glass materials handling and construction activities.
