Job Description

Position Summary We are looking for an experienced, dependable Residential Windows and Door Installer to join our installation team. The installer will be responsible for removing existing window and doors and installing new exterior doors and windows in residential homes while providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has experience with residential window and door installation, is comfortable working independently, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of protecting the customer's home and property. Responsibilities Remove existing entry, patio, storm, and/or other residential doors/ winodws as required. Install and properly adjust new residential doors and windows. Ensure doors are level, plumb, square, properly sealed, and operate correctly. Install and adjust door hardware, locks, handles, closers, and other components. Properly install flashing, insulation, shims, sealants, and weatherproofing materials. Inspect existing openings and identify potential installation issues. Protect floors, walls, furniture, and other areas of the customer's home during installation. Maintain a clean and professional job site. Complete installations according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding the installation process. Identify and report damage, unexpected conditions, or additional work needed. Complete required paperwork, measurements, photos, and job documentation. Follow all company safety procedures. Maintain and properly care for company or personal tools and equipment. Complete warranty or callback work when necessary. Qualifications Previous residential window door installation experience preferred. Knowledge of exterior door amd window installation and weatherproofing. Ability to accurately measure and evaluate openings. Ability to use common carpentry and installation tools. Ability to read and follow manufacturer installation instructions. Strong attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills. Professional appearance and communication. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Ability to work independently and manage assigned jobs. Ability to lift and maneuver doors and installation materials. Ability to work in customers' homes while maintaining a professional attitude. Must provide a COI Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry doors and materials, potentially weighing 75+ pounds with assistance when necessary. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Customer Service Expectations Our installers represent the company while working inside customers' homes.
The installer is expected to:
Treat every customer's home with care and respect. Arrive on time and communicate professionally. Keep the work area clean and organized. Explain the completed work to the homeowner when appropriate. Never perform unauthorized work or make promises regarding pricing or warranty coverage. Report customer concerns to management promptly. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a focus on window and door installation or related carpentry work. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Experience handling glass materials including cutting, fitting, glazing, and glass installation techniques. Ability to lift heavy materials safely during heavy lifting tasks while maintaining proper ergonomics. Familiarity with construction site safety practices and ability to work on active construction sites confidently. Excellent attention to detail for measurement accuracy (quality control) and adherence to project specifications.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
