Job Description

Most people hang blinds. We're looking for someone who cares about how they look when they leave. All About Blinds has been Cedar City's most trusted window covering company for nearly two decades. Homeowners, contractors, realtors, and interior designers refer us without hesitation — not because we're the cheapest option, but because we show up on time, do the work right, and treat every home like it's our own. We're growing. And we need an Installation Technician who's built the same way we are.
THE PATH
This isn't a"can hang blinds" job. The Installation Technician who earns trust here becomes the person who owns complex and commercial projects, trains the next hire, and eventually runs the field operation — an Install Project Manager role that exists in our growth plan and will be filled from within by the right person. That path is earned, not given.
WHAT THE WORK ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
You'll spend most of your time in customers' homes. Nice homes, usually. People who care how things look and are excited about their new window coverings — until something goes wrong, and then they're watching you very closely. You'll measure, mount, level, and adjust. You'll work in awkward spaces, above the kitchen cabinets, on ladders over stairwells. Some days, the product shows up wrong. Some days, you show up to install, and somebody has put tile in your window. You'll handle all of it — calmly, professionally, without calling the office to complain — and leave the home with a customer who wants to write a five-star review. You'll also schedule installs and organize the jobs as they arrive, verify orders, and flag problems before they become someone else's emergency. The job isn't just the install — it's everything that happens before and after. The pace is consistent, not frantic. But the standard is high, every single time. If "good enough" is a phrase you use a lot, this isn't for you.
WHO BELONGS HERE
We Take Initiative means you give the next customer a heads up if the current job is running long. You see what needs doing and you do it. Nobody has to follow up on you. We Are Others-Oriented means you walk into a customer's home genuinely interested in them — not just their windows. You make the connection. You listen. You reassure them on their color choice, their style, and the benefits of motorization, emphasizing the value of their purchase. You're not just installing blinds. You're the last thing a customer experiences before they decide whether to refer us to their friends and neighbors. We Have Each Other's Back means when a product shows up damaged the morning of an install, you work the problem — you don't forward it. The customer is informed of the new plan, but it's no big deal, you've got it covered! We Act With Honor and Humility means you're the same person whether someone is watching or not. You do your best work always. You are open to improvements. When someone has a better way to do something, you take it.
