Job Description
Full-Time | $25.00-$35.00 per hour (DOE) | Biweekly Pay IBI Inc is a growing general contractor offering competitive pay, an opportunity for growth, and a team that takes pride in doing the job right. We are currently seeking an experienced Window Installer to support both exterior and interior scopes across the greater Seattle area. Compensation $25.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience Biweekly pay Key Responsibilities Measure window openings accurately to ensure proper fit of new units. Remove existing windows, frames, and related materials carefully while protecting surrounding surfaces. Prepare openings (clean, level, square, and repair as needed) for installation. Install new windows (vinyl, wood, aluminum, fiberglass, or other types), including frames, sashes, glass, and hardware. Apply weatherstripping, caulking, sealants, and insulation to create a weather-tight, energy-efficient seal. Install related components such as screens, blinds hardware, trim, or flashing. Ensure proper operation of windows (opening, closing, locking) and adjust as needed. Follow manufacturer specifications, building codes, and safety standards. Clean up job sites, dispose of debris properly, and leave the area neat. Communicate with site supervisors about the work, any issues, or recommendations. Occasionally perform minor related carpentry or finishing work. Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work environment (including fall protection when working at heights). Qualifications Previous experience in window installation, construction, carpentry, or a related trade (often 1-3+ years preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manufacturer instructions. Strong measurement, cutting, and basic carpentry skills. Physical ability to lift heavy materials (often 50+ lbs), work on ladders/scaffolding, kneel, bend, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Knowledge of different window types, installation techniques, and sealing methods. Familiarity with hand and power tools (saws, drills, levels, caulk guns, etc.). Understanding of basic building codes, energy-efficiency standards, and safety practices.
