Job Description
PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBER
Tacoma Glass - Burlington is looking for an evening production member with a desire to be part of a winning team. Tacoma Glass is a custom glass manufacturer in business providing fabricated and tempered glass lites, insulated units, shower doors, etc. to the local residential and commercial community.Job Description:
Our Glass Cutter is responsible for cutting raw glass utilizing state of the art cutting bridges, prepping it for the tempering furnace or other internal department to ultimately ship to our end customer. You expect a fun, high paced environment with a lot of learning and growth.Requirements:
- Ability to work with both hands to grab and place materials onto carts, racks, crates and delivery equipment
- Have an ability to understand and operate equipment with a level of technology
- Communicate effectively both written and verbally with team members
- Ability to work both alone and in a team environment
- Ability to read and understand order paperwork production paperwork and load sheets
- Follow safety procedures at all times to protect self, peers, customers, inventory and property
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization at all times
- Performing other duties and tasks as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 100lbs and push carts with weights up to 4000lbs (with tools and assistance as necessary)
- Ability to grab, squeeze, push, pull and place product
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, kneel, sit and work on concrete surfaces for an entire shift
- Ability to properly wear PPE as required
Work Experience:
- Experience handling glass or other sheet goods preferred but not required
- Ideally operated some type of production equipment
- Forklift experience preferred but will train internally
Job Type:
Full Time, Monday-Friday 2:30PM-11:00PM, overtime as necessaryBenefits:
