Summary:
The Glass Shop Technician is responsible for the creation of residential glass products such as windows, doors, tabletop, etc. Along with assisting installers to ensure the best possible results for our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following: Required to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies. Serve residential customers through repair, creation, or manipulation of glass, screen, mirror or frame products. Utilize shop tools and materials to fulfill daily work orders. Use mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to complete customer orders. Maintain inventory/supply levels to ensure products are available for fulfilling daily customer requests. Use accurate measurements to minimize waste. Maintain an organized and safe workspace. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous construction/residential glass, window or door experience, a plus. Mechanical aptitude with ability to use a tape measure and read measurements. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Work Environment The work environment will be in the glass shop year-round, cutting, repairing, and polishing glasses and mirrors. Occasionally on job sites assisting installers.
