805 Insulation is a family-owned insulation contractor based in Lompoc, serving Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties. We've been insulating homes, apartments, and commercial buildings up and down the Central Coast since 2017, and we're looking to add an experienced installer to our fiberglass crew. If you already know your way around batts, blow-in, and an attic in August

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Installing fiberglass batt insulation in walls, floors, and ceilings
• Blowing loose-fill insulation in attics
• running the machine, hose, and rake
• Netting and dense-pack wall applications
• Air sealing, caulking, and fire caulking
• Installing rigid board, vapor barriers, and sound-attenuation assemblies
• Loading and staging material for the day's jobs
• Keeping job sites clean and leaving customers happy
• Working alongside GC superintendents, HERS raters, and building inspectors on QII/Title 24 jobs

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Hands-on insulation experience
• this is what we're really after. Two or more years installing batts and blow-in is what we'd love to see. If you've run a blow rig or led a crew, tell us.
• A valid driver's license. This position drives a company truck loaded with material to job sites across three counties every day
• driving is a daily function of the job, and a clean enough record to be insurable on our commercial policy is required.
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and tight spaces, and to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day
• Comfortable working off ladders and on rolling scaffold
• Able to communicate in basic English for safety meetings, safety instructions, and coordination with general contractors, inspectors, and homeowners. Bilingual English/Spanish is a big plus.
• Show up on time, every day. That's most of it. No insulation experience but a solid construction background and a real work ethic? Still apply
