Project:
U.S. Coast Guard Facility Renovation JE Brick Homes is seeking an experienced Mechanical Insulation / HVAC Insulation Installer for an active renovation project at a U.S. Coast Guard facility in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. We are specifically looking for someone with experience identifying, sourcing, and installing insulation on mechanical piping and HVAC ductwork . The selected individual will assist us with determining the correct insulation materials and quantities needed to match existing conditions in addition to performing the installation. Current Scope of Work Anticipated work includes approximately: 200 LF of pipe insulation in the Men's Locker Room 94 LF of pipe insulation in the Wardroom 300 LF of heater return ductwork requiring 2-inch insulation 100 LF of foil-backed insulation Responsibilities include: Inspect existing pipe and duct insulation Identify appropriate replacement insulation Assist with identifying manufacturers/products that will meet project requirements Help determine required material quantities Assist with sourcing appropriate materials Install mechanical pipe insulation Install HVAC duct insulation Install foil-faced/FSK insulation where required Properly seal insulation and vapor-barrier systems Properly insulate fittings, transitions, penetrations, and other mechanical components Repair or replace insulation where required Maintain clean and professional finished installations Follow project safety and Government site requirements Additional Supply Room Work There is also potential additional mechanical insulation work in the Supply Room that is not currently included in our Government contract. We need the selected technician to help: Inspect the existing conditions Determine whether the insulation should be repaired or replaced Identify the appropriate materials Establish material quantities Develop a separate labor and material estimate JE Brick Homes will use this information to develop a proposed contract modification for Government approval . The additional Supply Room work may not begin until it is formally authorized. The contract provides that changes to the terms and conditions must be made by written agreement. Required Qualifications Commercial mechanical insulation experience required Experience insulating HVAC piping and ductwork Knowledge of fiberglass insulation Knowledge of pipe insulation systems Knowledge of duct wrap Experience with foil-faced/FSK insulation and vapor barriers Ability to identify existing insulation materials Ability to calculate material quantities Ability to assist with sourcing materials Ability to provide labor and material estimates Must comply with project safety requirements Federal, military, or Government facility experience preferred Federal Site Eligibility — U.S. Citizenship Required Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Work will be performed at an active U.S. Coast Guard facility. All selected personnel must meet the project's federal site-access and employment eligibility requirements before beginning onsite work. JE Brick Homes will process selected personnel through E-Verify prior to starting work.
Personnel must also:
Provide acceptable Government-issued identification Complete required personnel/site-access processing Comply with Coast Guard security and access procedures Be approved for site access before reporting for work No individual may begin onsite work until required verification and site-access requirements have been completed. Schedule Monday-Friday Approximately 8:30 AM-3:30 PM Up to 20 hours per week
