Full-Time Position Summary The Attic & Crawlspace Installer is responsible for performing residential attic and crawlspace projects safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. This position will install insulation, vapor barriers, ventilation products, air sealing, and related materials while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working in confined spaces, able to work as part of a team, and takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service. Key Responsibilities Attic Work Remove and dispose of existing insulation and debris when required. Install blown-in and batt insulation according to the job scope. Install and maintain proper attic ventilation, including baffles and vents. Perform air sealing and sealing around penetrations as directed. Install bath fan ducting and insulation when included in the scope. Treat and clean attic areas when assigned. Maintain proper insulation depth and coverage. Identify and report damage, mold, rodent activity, moisture issues, or other concerns to the supervisor. Crawlspace Work Remove and dispose of existing insulation, vapor barriers, and debris when required. Install fiberglass batt or other specified crawlspace insulation. Secure insulation using twine, wire, lath, or other approved support methods. Install vapor barriers according to company specifications. Seal and secure vapor barrier seams and foundation penetrations as required. Perform crawlspace cleaning and sanitation when included in the work order. Identify and report moisture, plumbing leaks, structural concerns, pest activity, or other conditions requiring attention. Jobsite Responsibilities Follow the Employee Work Order and approved scope of work. Protect floors, walls, doors, furniture, and finished surfaces before beginning work. Maintain dust containment and work-area protection. Keep tools, equipment, and materials organized. Clean the work area at the end of each job. Properly load, unload, and maintain company equipment and materials. Dispose of job-related debris according to company procedures. Complete required before-and-after photographs and job documentation. Notify management immediately of changes in scope or unexpected conditions. Do not perform additional work without authorization. Safety Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Properly use PPE, including respirators, gloves, eye protection, protective clothing, and fall protection when required. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, insulation equipment, and other jobsite equipment. Follow ladder and attic access safety procedures. Use proper lifting and material-handling techniques. Maintain awareness of electrical, structural, environmental, and confined-space hazards. Report injuries, accidents, property damage, and unsafe conditions immediately. Customer Service Expectations Maintain a professional and respectful attitude while working in customers' homes. Protect the customer's property. Keep noise and disruption to a minimum when possible. Do not discuss pricing, estimates, or changes to the customer's scope unless authorized. Direct customer questions or concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Leave the work area clean and professional.
Qualifications Required:
Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined or physically demanding areas. Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment. Ability to climb ladders and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
Previous insulation experience. Attic or crawlspace experience. Construction, restoration, remodeling, or general labor experience. Experience installing fiberglass batts, blown-in insulation, or vapor barriers. Experience with attic ventilation and air sealing. Experience with mold remediation, rodent cleanup, or sanitation. OSHA or other construction safety training. Physical Requirements The employee must be able to: Work in hot, cold, dusty, dirty, and confined environments. Enter and work in crawlspaces and attics. Frequently bend, kneel, crawl, squat, reach, and climb. Lift and carry materials and equipment. Work from ladders and elevated areas when required. Wear respiratory protection and other required PPE. Perform physically demanding work throughout the workday. Performance Expectations Successful installers are expected to: Complete work according to the approved scope. Maintain high-quality installation standards. Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining safety and quality. Minimize material waste. Properly use and maintain company tools and equipment. Maintain accurate job documentation and photographs. Communicate issues promptly with supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and jobsite. Represent the company professionally at every job.
Pay:
$26.38 - $31.76 per hour
