Job Description
B&R Design LLC has been welding and fabricating since 2017. We supply and problem solve with custom designs, do in house laser cutting and press brake forming, perform in-house repairs, and we a have a contracting license that we use to perform installations for structural and ornamental metals, as well as on-site repairs. The types of business we typically help are: electrical contractors with specialties in undergrounding, and power plants housing developers and general contractors wineries refinery waste and other waste companies local parks We would like to hire someone who is interested in a future in the welding and fabrication field who is confident and well-rounded. Pay is based on skill and knowledge. Our work week is typically Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm, however overtime will sometimes be required. This position is at-will employment, and B&R Design LLC is an equal opportunity employer. Welding certifications can be a plus. We are a Drug Free Workplace for safety purposes. Work time will be split between shop time and installations at job sites. For off-site work you will typically be transported by us or you will drive a company truck (depending on your MVR). Job duties and necessities may include, but are not limited to: Familiarity with welding various metal objects in various positions Accurately reading a tape measure and calipers Converting measurements to and from decimal form Ability to read mechanical drawings Familiarity with diagrams Familiarity with gas ratios Preparing work surfaces and metals Bolting materials together Using a Drill Press Using a Press Brake (Eventually/Potentially) Using sheet and tube lasers Cutting with shears, saws and torches Loading and unloading workpieces Helping to ensure products meet specifications Finishing and assembling metal components Familiarity of metalworking operations Ability to use machine tools and benchtop tools Strong manual skills and precision Ability to work as part of a team Strength and physical fitness Able to work independently/keep busy when little to no supervision is required Ability to climb and work on scaffolding Shop clean up All tasks/duties must be accomplished in a safe manner.
