In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality fabricated components and assemblies. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical fabrication will be essential to delivering exceptional results on construction sites and within fabrication shops. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse metal materials, utilize advanced measuring instruments, and contribute to large-scale projects that demand precision, safety, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate production of metal components. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, weld, and assemble metal materials such as sheet metal and structural steel. Perform welding tasks using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure and mark metal materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure tight tolerances. Use plasma cutting, grinding, drilling, and machining equipment for fabrication and assembly of custom metal parts. Adhere strictly to safety protocols on construction sites or within fabrication facilities to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in all fabrication tasks. Experience Proven experience working in a fabrication shop environment or on construction sites with a focus on metal fabrication projects.
