Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality fabricated components used across various industries. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet safety standards, technical specifications, and quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication techniques and state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced environment dedicated to craftsmanship and excellence. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine the correct procedures and measurements for each project Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure precise cuts and assemblies Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal materials including sheet metal and structural components Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings accurately to ensure fabrication meets design specifications Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, and assemble metal parts with attention to detail and safety protocols Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety procedures related to shop math, welding practices, and equipment operation Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ensuring quality control throughout the fabrication process Utilize fabrication shop experience to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently during production Qualifications Proven construction site experience or metal fabrication background demonstrating hands-on skills in a manufacturing or construction environment Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings with mechanical blueprint interpretation skills Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding processes in accordance with AWS standards Experience operating measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for accurate fabrication Familiarity with shop math for measurements, calculations, and material estimations Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and gas cutting tools safely and effectively Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and mechanical fabrication principles Construction site experience is a plus for understanding real-world application of fabricated components in field environments Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations, equipment handling, and material storage is essential Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and interpreting technical instructions Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship in metal fabrication!
