This position requires the ability to accurately read shop drawings, lay out materials, fabricate assemblies, and produce quality work while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Duties & Responsibilities Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and assemble miscellaneous metal products. Fabricate handrails, guardrails, stair rails, ornamental rails, gates, ladders, platforms, and custom steel fabrications. Verify dimensions, material sizes, and quantities before fabrication. Operate fabrication equipment including saws, ironworkers, drill presses, grinders, magnetic drills, and other shop tools. Tack weld assemblies in preparation for final welding. Inspect work for accuracy, squareness, alignment, and quality. Perform modifications or adjustments as required. Maintain production schedules while meeting quality standards. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Communicate drawing discrepancies, material shortages, or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Assist other shop personnel as needed. Other duties as required.
